Excursion to Ba Be lake 3 days

Day 01: Hanoi – Thai Nguyen – Ba Be Lake (L.D)

At 08:00, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi for the journey to Ba Be National Park, one of Vietnam’s most beautiful natural treasures located in Bac Kan Province.

Along the way, stop in Thai Nguyen to visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnic Cultures, offering a fascinating introduction to the rich cultural diversity of Vietnam’s ethnic communities. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing through scenic mountain landscapes towards Ba Be.

Upon arrival in the late afternoon, settle into a traditional Tay ethnic stilt house nestled in a peaceful village. Enjoy a warm welcome with a cup of freshly brewed green tea before taking a leisurely walk around the village to discover the daily life, customs, and traditions of the local Tay people.

Dinner will be served at the homestay, featuring authentic regional specialties. Overnight in a traditional stilt house surrounded by the tranquil atmosphere of Ba Be National Park.

Day 02: Exploring Ba Be Lake by Boat (B.L.D)

Wake up to the gentle sounds of nature and village life. After breakfast, embark on a memorable boat excursion to discover the breathtaking landscapes of Ba Be Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake in Vietnam.

Cruise along emerald waters surrounded by limestone mountains and dense tropical forests. The journey takes you through spectacular river scenery, hidden caves, and picturesque waterways before reaching impressive waterfalls tucked away in the heart of the national park.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant near the waterfall before continuing your exploration of the lake. There will be opportunities to swim in the crystal-clear waters, relax amid the stunning natural surroundings, and capture unforgettable photographs of this pristine environment.

Later in the afternoon, enjoy a gentle trek through ethnic minority villages and lush countryside before returning to your homestay. Dinner and overnight in the traditional stilt house.

Day 03: Ba Be Lake – Hanoi (B.L)

Enjoy a final morning in the peaceful setting of Ba Be. After breakfast, take time to stroll through the village, admire the surrounding scenery, or simply soak up the fresh mountain air.

For those seeking a more active experience, an optional bicycle ride around the village offers a wonderful opportunity to discover the local countryside at your own pace.

After bidding farewell to your hosts, depart Ba Be around 10:00 for the return journey to Hanoi. If your trip falls on a Sunday, you may have the opportunity to stop at a colorful local highland market where various ethnic groups gather to trade goods and socialize, offering an authentic glimpse into the region’s cultural life.

Lunch will be served en route. Arrive back in Hanoi in the late afternoon, approximately at 17:30, where you will be transferred to your hotel, marking the end of your memorable Ba Be Lake adventure.
